About The Game
Kill All The Moles
Whacking moles kills them, and they react to you by getting injuries and holding up signs that ask the player not to kill them.
Save The Moles
When the player hits the flashing lights, a health bar appears, and if the player hits the lights in the same order as they flash, they eventually break the machine.
Try Endless Mode
Players can endlessly whack cutout versions of the moles if they don't want unnecessary bloodshed.
Challenges
This was the first game most of us (including me) made in Unity. Consequently, we were unsure how to do almost anything, so planning for the game was difficult. Additionally, splitting tasks between 5 people was hard when we were inexperienced. Finally, our game had multiple endings with different playstyles, so we had more work.
Post Mortem
I am very happy with how it turned out. It's a Whack-A-Mole that is more interesting than the original. Other than learning a lot of programming, we learned how to work with each other and the general process of making games. The only thing we could've done better is make it obvious you can hit the machine.
